The Story of

The Happy Valley Print was established in 1998 by PSU alumnus, John Fratti. Because of my interest and enthusiasm for Penn State I decided to design and market a print that captures all the excitement and tradition at Penn State University. The print is a light-hearted depiction of life at University Park and State College, PA. The process of designing the print was long and tedious. It included many aerial photographs along with individual pictures of campus buildings and other physical structures. In addition, much research was done concerning the history of Penn State University to include the numerous historical trivia facts about University Park, PA. The Happy Valley Print is licensed by the Penn State University and the Collegiate Licensing Company. The print is currently sold in State College and in stores in the greater Central Pennsylvania area. The print has also been exhibited at numerous arts and crafts shows.

The size of the Penn State campus print is 27 inches by 38 1/2 inches. Shown below is a picture of the entire print. Due to the rather large size of this print individual sections of the campus print are available to view by clicking on the appropriate section below. By viewing the individual sections you will be able to get a closer inspection of all of the fine detail that is included on this print. The Penn State campus caricature print is a view of Penn State and State College in the year 1998. This print is not meant to be a literal interpretation of the campus or town. In addition, due to the obvious space limitations every single building and structure could not be included on this print. I tried to include all the buildings, campus structures, and business establishments that truly reflect what people remember Penn State University by.
